Our Story…
At Donut Connection, every donut tells a story, one of tradition, community, and resilience.
Before NDC…
It all began in 1982 when Geraldine (Jerrie) and her daughter, Karen Stockburger, took over the Mister Donut franchise in Butler. A New Chapter with NDC…
Later that year, Nonprofit Development Corporation (NDC) stepped in with a mission to revitalize the space, not just as a donut shop but as a beacon of community support. As a nonprofit, NDC reinvests its earnings into projects that serve nonprofits and individuals in need across the region.
On December 29, 2020, NDC acquired Donut Connection. After months of renovations and recipe improvements, the shop reopened in spring 2021, refreshed but still rooted in its original values.
Our goal has been to continue the legacy Jerrie and Karen started by providing customers with quality products at a reasonable price in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Building Community Partnerships
Our mission goes beyond just donuts. We believe in using our business as a platform to support and uplift our community.
We are proud to provide supportive employment opportunities, empowering individuals of all abilities to learn, grow, and succeed in the workplace.
We proudly sell Marburger products, collaborating with another local, family-owned business that shares our focus on freshness and quality.
We actively participate in the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, including initiatives like Feel Good Friday and Friday Coffee Club, to stay connected with other local leaders and businesses.
We sponsor local events, teams, and fundraisers, believing that every small business has a role in creating a thriving, united community.
We donate our daily leftovers to local organizations that serve those in need, because no good donut should go to waste when it can brighten someone’s day.
These partnerships are at the core of who we are and reflect our belief that community is everything.
